Five on Friday

Happy Friday yall! I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend. We are going to do some have an at-home fondue date tonight. Tomorrow we will probably knock out some chores around the house followed by dinner downtown somewhere....maybe tapas at Fandango's. Yum! See ya Monday!

1. Check out what I got for free at the grocery earlier this week! If you live near a Meijer, then you should definitely check out Meijer Madness. They are always posting matchups to the weekly ad and surprise deals!

2. I made these low calorie and tasty jalapeno poppers from Skinny Taste this week! Husband approved!

3. Where can I get a fiddle leaf fig tree that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?! I promise to love and take care of it....unlike every other plant in my life. But in case it doesn't survive, I would rather it not break the bank!

4. I have an abundance of carrots right now. Three bags of baby carrots and a bunch of regular ones from last weekend's farmer's market run. So my question is...can I freeze them? I found this article about all kinds of things you can freeze but carrots are not on the list....but it doesn't say you can't.... These are the things I worry about.

5. Last weekend we planted some mint out beyond our backyard so that it can hopefully grow wild. I am looking forward to picking some this weekend to add to my lemonade. Yum!

    1. I just made a 1/2 batch. I think next time I'll make more and freeze some. I don't know what it would have been like without, but I wore gloves so the seeds wouldn't burn my fingers....just a tip. :) Thanks for stopping by!
