Recipe - Kale Chips

Dave and I got a dehydrator as a wedding gift. We had registered for it but I wasn't really sure just how much use it would get. Well Dave has basically dehydrated every piece of fruit in our house for the last month! I had been wanting to try out kale chips and when we found some fresh at the farmer's market over the weekend, I figured it was the perfect opportunity. It is such an easy, healthy snack!

Ingredients:
- Fresh kale
- Olive oil
- Seasoning

Directions:
1. Wash kale and pat dry. 2. Tear off the leaves, throwing away the stalk in the middle. 3. Lay the leaves on the dehydrator racks. 4. Spray the leaves with olive oil (I use a Misto and it is wonderful!). 5. Season with whatever you are in the mood for. I just salted mine. 6.Cook in the dehydrator at 135 degrees for 2.5 hours. 7. Enjoy!

  1. Yum! I love me some kale chips! I'd love to get a dehydrator some day. My mom has one and makes homemade beef jerky all the time.
